Alberta Equestrian Federation Conference & AGM AGM - March 19, Red Deer Room, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm Conference - March 20, Waskasoo C Room, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm AEF Staff and board of directors are busy preparing for the Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting March 19 & 20, 2010. As a large non-profit organization, the AEF takes its fiscal matters and fiduciary responsibilities seriously. It is a business with mandate to run efficiently and provide stellar services to its members. For the conference this year, we are pleased to present three excellent speakers:
There will also be a silent auction with all proceeds going toward supporting our youth program "Live Outside the Box." If you would like to donate to our Silent Auction and help the AEF fund this great youth program, please complete a donation form. Plenty of awesome door prizes to be won but you must be in attendance to win! The grand door prize this year is a room for two, breakfast and dinner for two and two tickets to the Mane Event in April! For the AEF, our AGM and Conference offers a time for reflection on what the association has done for its members and look at programs, ideas and directions that have stood out and are meaningful. The AEF also asks "how do we remain relevant, passionate and affordable?" The association takes a measure of the pulse of our special community to develop programs that are important and vital to its health. That's our 'voice' role. But, just as important is the pair of ears that listen. The AEF is a conduit and listens very carefully to what the community is talking about and sees where it can develop strategies. As an advocacy organization, the AEF's job is to help its members; and for members to take leadership roles in making change. It's done through creating an environment that gives people a means to talk about their issues and concerns, "bring it to the AEF". The AEF will listen, will offer advice, will seek more information and provide options so that equestrians of all types have good options to choose from. The AEF is an organization that can and does pay attention to Alberta's equine family. Visit AEF web site for more details and registration. |
